ABOUT ME

My name is Evangelia Mavridou and i am a self-taught fine art photographer.
For me black and white photography functions as a tool of abstraction.
Strips the image of the superfluous, allowing the gaze to focus on its essence.
I approach each work as if I were painting with light, shaping a space where logic recedes and sensation dominates.
I’m not interested in simply reproducing reality. What draws me in is something more subtle ,the almost invisible space between light and shadow, the quiet presence within natural moments ,the magic of everything.

Nature holds countless meanings, and each person connects with it differently. In the same way, every image offers something unique, depending on what someone is ready to receive. I believe that art doesn’t try to reach everyone. It finds its way quietly, to the ones who recognize themselves within it.
